The cutting-out scissors type S-54 is a handy, easily functioning textile machine, with the help of which many kinds of material can be cut without fatigue. The shape of the circular knife and the joint operation of the cutter base reflect the cutting principle of the traditional scissors.
The ball supported shaft of the small, but high-power electric motor and the internal friction of the well selected pulley-hob gear is minimal. The external cladding of the S-54 type cutting-out scissors was made of a polycarbonate with the generally best strength and electric characteristics. The special impact-resistant, flexible and glossy plastic provides long lifetime for the S-54 type cutting-out scissors. The ventilator provides the cooling of the electric motor, the sharpening of the knife will be performed with the periodical pressing of the free-running abrasive disk. The motor has an integrated interference filter and it is equipped with double insulation.
Attention!
The operation of the textile machine is considered to be hazardous
operation, so the machine can be used only by skilled worker. The unworkmanlike
handling can cause bad accidents!
Take care of not cutting the electric cable of the machine during work!

For the electric cutting-out scissors type S-54 we undertake a guarantee
of 1 year after the date of purchase.
Below directions for use include all data and requirements, which shall be considered during the commissioning, the operation and the maintenance works!
Commissioning of the textile machine
The machine can be turned onto a net with a voltage of 230V. By pressing the starter button (1) the rotation of the knife starts and the cutting can begin.
Sharpening of the knife
A good cutting performance and a high quality cutting can be obtained only with sharp knives. The integrated grinding-machine allows to re-sharpen the circular knife by short pressing of the push button of the grinding disk (2) easily and fast, if the reduction of the cutting performance is perceivable.
WARNING! The grinding disk can only be pressed to the circular
knife easily!
If the grinding disk (3) gets choked, the cleaning of the disk can be
simply performed with a swab or small brush dipped in alcohol.
Replacement of the cutting knife (4)
The knife shall be replaced, if the diameter reduces to 42 mm or it does not reach the carbide edge. The replacement of the knife can only be performed in a condition free of current! Loosen the fixing screw, while fix the knife with the hook spanner. After the removal of the fixing screw and the old knife put in and fix the new one.
Replacement of the grinding disk
Remove the cutting knife as already mentioned, then fix the button of the grinding-machine with a gripper and loosen the fixing screw of the free-running grinding disk with a screwdriver. Put the new disk onto the axis, then adjust it. After the replacement of the knife the machine is ready for operation.
Replacement of the tungsten carbide disc
The replacement can only be performed in a condition free of current! In case of replacement of the carbide cutting edge unbolt the fixing screw at the side of the cutting base, remove the base, remove the used piece together with the supporting plate, then bolt the new tungsten carbide edge onto the base supporting bend.
Replacement of the carbon brushes
The replacement can only be performed in a condition free of current! After a use of approx. 3000 hours the carbon brushes shall be controlled, the used carbon brushes shall be replaced by new ones. For this purpuse loosen the screws at the end of the machine and the cable cleat screws, remove the motor casing. On the side of the free motor loosen the fixing screws of the carbon brushes and replace the old carbon brushes with new ones, then bolt the fixing screws and fix the cable by bolting both screws on the bottom of the machine.
Maintenance of the textile machine
The worm-drive gear shall be lubricated with fine lubricating grease
depending on use, which can be easily performed after removal of the
knife and the plastic wheel. Introduce acid-free, fine oil drop by drop
into the cutting base and the circular knife at the dedicated place
through the lubricator on the head.
The dedusting of the machine due to the oakum, flosses and fluffs inhausted
by the ventilator shall be performed once a year in a professional service
due to the increased fire hazard!
